Second Chef

We are recruiting a Sous Chef to join the team in our busy clubhouse.

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and has a real passion for delivering great food. You’ll normally work under the supervision of our Head Chef but you’ll also be required to run the kitchen in their absence.
You'll be rewarded with an extremely competitive salary, in addition to hours that are very sociable for the catering sector.

This role is the perfect step for someone looking to further develop and broaden their catering skills but without the kind of pressure that is common in many restaurant kitchens.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence our menus and help to progress that catering offering at our club. You’ll become a familiar face to the members at our golf club. If you’ve got food ideas we want to hear them.
The successful applicant will have:

  • At least two years’ experience in a catering role at a qualified chef level
  • Their own transport
  • The ability to work unsupervised
  • Current hygiene certificate

This is a full-time role and you can expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. There will be weekend working but no split shifts, very few early starts and it would be rare for you to be working after 9pm.
